Is your organisation running an arts and cultural based event within Maroondah between November 2010 and March 2011? If the answer is yes, we would love to hear from you. We are creating a brochure to promote local arts and cultural events. This free advertising opportunity is a great way to tell the Maroondah community about your event.
What kind of event can be promoted through the brochure?
Your event must:
- Occur between November 2010 – March 2011
- Take place at a site within the City of Maroondah
- Be co-ordinated by a not-for-profit group/organisation
- Have a primary objective to engage the Maroondah community with a clearly defined arts/cultural content (e.g. art/craft exhibitions, festivals, literary presentations, forums, performances/concerts, one-off art based workshops.)
What kind of event cannot be promoted through the brochure?
Your event must not:
- Take place at a site outside the City of Maroondah
- Be coordinated by a commercial group/organisation
- Be an ongoing program or activity e.g. term programs/classes.

What happens after I send in my registration form?
Applications will be checked to confirm eligibility. Applicants will be notified whether they have/have not been successful for inclusion in the brochure in late August. Distribution of the brochure is scheduled for late October.
What if my event does not meet the criteria?
Promotion is available through Maroondah City Council’s online events calendar. Click Add an event and then follow the prompts. All events registered are placed on the website at the discretion of Council.
