Reconciliation Week Celebrations - Maroondah Federation Estate

The event will include a Welcome to Country and traditional smoking ceremony by a Wurundjeri/Wandoon elder, flag ceremony conducted by student representatives and an exciting display by the internationally acclaimed One Fire Aboriginal Dance Troupe. Cr Natalie Thomas will also be launching Council's Reconciliation Policy.

At the conclusion of these proceedings, school students will be invited to participate in a range of inspiring indigenous workshops aimed to develop their awareness of indigenous culture and heritage.

An exciting collaboration of work undertaken by students from the Monkami Centre and Kalinda Primary School in conjunction with indigenous artists will be showcased at Maroondah Federation Estate during Reconciliation Week.

"Beneath Tall Trees" Indigenous program

Yarrunga Community Centre, Croydon Hills Drive, Croydon Hills

An Indigenous program will be held at Yarrunga Community Centre on Wednesday 27 May which will run in line with Council's event.  A movie screening and free workshops will feature, giving the Maroondah community an opportunity to become involved in a range of Indigenous-based experiences.

Reconciliation Week Morning Tea
