Maroondah exhibition spaces

Maroondah City Council offers several outstanding exhibition venues with strong links to the local community and Melbourne’s dynamic contemporary art scene.

We are fortunate to have spaces offering diverse exhibitions, including local and national curated exhibitions in ArtSpace Realm, as well as opportunities for emerging artists and local community members to exhibit in Maroondah Access Gallery. The exhibition programs contain a wide range of media and a diverse array of works that may not otherwise venture outside the more major art institutions of Melbourne.

Council is committed to fostering a creative and culturally rich community through its education and community participation opportunities. These include regular events, workshops and activities, which provide opportunities for all ages to participate in and contribute to making Maroondah a vibrant place in which to live, work and visit.

Maroondah is also home to the R & M McGivern Prize, a $25,000 acquisitive prize that aims to encourage painting in oil, gouache, acrylic and watercolour mediums and is held every three years.
